Schulman Legal Group: Full-spectrum Cloud Migration 

Schulman, Hershfield & Gilden, P.A. are a well-established and respected Baltimore law firm. They serve hundreds of clients in the area including some renowned and respected organizations. As a document centric business, being able to keep their information organized and accessible is mission critical to their continuing success.

Technical Accomplishments 

Like many small businesses, SHG Legal had many legacy systems in place that were no longer working for them when we first came to know each other. These included outdated remote access solutions, old-school T-1 internet access, aging and overfull e-mail servers, and a fleet of workstations approaching the end of their useful life. 

We migrated their infrastructure to Office 365, including a full migration to Exchange Online and implementation of a case management system in SharePoint Online to keep their client documents organized. As part of this process we have also taken over as their primary provider for general IT support.  

Results Achieved 

  • Documents and E-mail Now Accessible from Home or Office, Desktop or Tablet 

  • Substantial ROI Over Traditional Infrastructure 

  • Smooth and Well-organized Transition Process 

  • Also Found Cost Savings Elsewhere (e.g. Internet Connectivity)
