Subscription rates scale by the number of users, virtual server configuration, and high-availability configuration. You can also deploy Beowulf in your own private cloud including AWS, Azure, or VMWare; it has been tested for compatibility with Azure Web Apps and SQL Azure.

Beowulf pricing is based on how many Authentication Service web servers you need to run. Most customers will find a single server to be more than adequate for many scenarios. Large deployments and some high-availability environments will require a second server for fault tolerance and load balancing. Few environments require more than this.
To keep things simple, our Identity Server license includes the ability to leverage all of the following additional components without the need to purchase additional licenses beyond those needed for the Authentication Service itself.

This license must be purchased as an add-on to a production server license. All update benefits accrued through the purchase of maintenance plans will extend to the development license.
